Welcome Aboard!
Step 1
In the first 5 days...
- Respond to the questions in your approval email.
- Complete your Pet Screening Profile (Only one profile is required per household. Applies whether you have a pet or not.)
- Within 48 Hours following approval, the Hold Deposit in the form of a Cashier’s Check or Money Order(s) made payable to: Provest Realty Inc. needs to be turned into one of our offices and a move in date needs to be confirmed. Note: After hour drop slots are available at both locations.
- The “Offer to Rent” & receipt for the deposit sent to you needs to be reviewed & signed. (This is sent to you to sign electronically)
- Begin the process of transferring the required utilities into your name. To help simplify the process, you may use your included Resident Benefit Utility Concierge Service. Simply schedule a convenient time with the Utility Concierge directly, by visiting: Utility Concierge Service You will need to know which utilities you are responsible for transferring into your name, as outlined in your Offer to Rent. The Utility Concierge service will take it from there!
Step 2
At least 7 days prior to Move In.....
- Make sure all utilities (Nice to Know Numbers) have been scheduled for turn on. And, If applicable, make sure you have signed & returned all utility forms sent to you by your application processor prior. This is required before we can send your lease for signatures.
- Activate your Resident Portal and get the App for your phone.
- Update your address With Service Providers(Bank, insurance, Internet, Cable, Ect..)
- Put in a change of address with U.S.P.S.
- Renters Insurance – If you are using the insurance included with your Resident Benefits Package you are all set and there is nothing more to do. If you are providing your own insurance, use this link to provide your insurance to our business partner for verification and further instructions.
Step 3
At least 4 days prior to Move In.....
- Login to your Resident Portal to Review & Sign your lease.
- Double check your Moving Plan and make sure you have the help and transportation all set up.
Step 4
It's Moving Day!
- Make sure you have all of your Move In funds in the form of a Cashier’s Check or Money order payable to Provest Realty Inc.
- Visit the designated office that was communicated to you by your application processor to pay your final move in expenses and pick up your keys!
- Before you bring in your furniture and belongings, now is a good time to spend 20 minutes or so documenting any cosmetic deficiencies in the home. We recommend you take pictures, and complete your Move In Inspection Form (MII). You can complete this form online, or print it and return it to us.
- Start moving in!
Step 5
Within 5 days after taking possession...
- Setup your Property Meld account for any maintenance needs. FAQ’s
- Turn in your Move In inspection form (MII) to our office, or email to info@provestrealty.com
- Make sure you are getting the most from your Resident Benefits Package!
